*Padma Shri Soma Ghosh, Rupali Suri inaugurate Padma Shri Sudharak Olwe's Mumbai Unseen photo exhibition at Mani Bhavan*
Padma Shri Dr Soma Ghosh and Actress-Supermodel Rupali Suri graced the poignant evening with soulful presence and resonance.
The city’s heart skipped a beat as Padma Shri awardee Sudharak Olwe unveiled his latest black-and-white photo exhibition “Mumbai Unseen” at Gandhi Films Foundation, Behind Mani Bhavan, Laburnum Road. The event, held on Friday, June 27, was a deeply moving tribute to the lives that make Mumbai breathe quietly beneath its glittering facade.
Curated by Sanjay Nikam and presented by Sabu Sathyam and the Rotary Club of Salt City, the exhibition featured stark, powerful images that spoke of dignity, endurance, and forgotten humanity—from manual scavengers to invisible daily wage earners.
Gracing the evening were Padma Shri Dr Soma Ghosh, whose classical renditions added a sacred stillness to the moment, and Actress-Supermodel Rupali Suri, who lent her voice and presence to amplify the cause of those often left unseen.
Through his lens, Olwe had revealed not just frames, but feelings—silent pride, quiet pain, and untold survival stories hidden behind Mumbai’s concrete sprawl. Each image became a voice, a mirror, and a memory.
